Information on reimbursements of travel expenses

The sponsored full-time participants, that travel via airplane, will receive a total of $750 that is intended to cover your local transportation costs at home and in Colorado, airline baggage fees and food. Participants that drive to Boulder will receive an allowance for the drive or commute, and $550 to cover all food expenses during the 2 week time period. If you do not stay in Boulder for the 13 days, the per-diem amount will be somewhat reduced.

The hotel will be covered independently of the reimbursement checks. We are happy to report that we will be able to cover almost all lodging expenses (including the expenses of the non-sponsored participants) with the exception of the hotel rooms that are marked as 'self-funded' on the reservation page:

Reimbursements of the fully-sponsored and partially-sponsored DCMIP participants:

All travel reimbursements will be handled by the University of Michigan. Barb Lupi (University of Michigan, blupi@umich.edu) will process your reimbursement checks and will ask for your home address and (in case of U.S. participants) for your SSN number. Barb will be in Boulder at the DCMIP registration desk at the NCAR Foothills Lab from Monday through Wednesday (July/30-August//1) during the first week. She will give the sponsored DCMIP participants a travel reimbursement form which you need to return to her by Wednesday 8/1.

The reimbursement checks will be sent to your home address after the summer school. Please bring enough money to pay for your local expenses while in Boulder.
