Timelines:
- 8 April applications deadlines, 63 applicantions received
- 13 April meeting with NCAR to determine computing resources: (Luca, Christiane, Allyn, Cecelia, Rich Loft, Dave Hart, Sidd Gosh, Michelle Smart)
- 23 April applications reviewed
- 27 April open questions concerning applications discussed, funding situation reviewed
- 1 May, notification of acceptance to be sent
- 30 July - 10 August (Workshop)
Facts:
- The links to the metadata instances will be listed on the individual model pages as a link. At this time we won't worry about converting the information to SOLR so that it can be searched by the P2P node (christiane: 5/14/12 telco)

Assumptions:
- Data will be generated on an NCAR supercomputer, either IBM Power6 or/and CRAY cluster
- Data will be transfered to the NOAA ESGF node for archival
- Data will be visualized using LAS on CoG for some quick plots
- Data will be visualized using NCL on an NCAR machine
- NCAR consulting will be responsible for assisting the modeling groups with anyting on the NCAR side (storage, transfer, visualization)
- NOAA consulting (who is this?) will be responsible for assisting the modeling groups with anything related to the CoG workspace
